Hey everyone!
Just thought i'd drop a post in here because even though I frequent livejournal daily to keep up with everyone elses shenanigans, I never feel the need to post myself unless something upsetting or annoying comes up.
So instead i'm sharing with you some photos of my Halloween '08!
It was a huge night and I'm paying for it today.
First location was at our mates place, second was at Switch.
I won either best costume or most creative at Switch, I forget which one. I was in the toilets when they announced it of course. Won some cds and many items of sugary goodness.
I bet my photo will be all over random peoples Facebook pages. Hehe :)

I've had a really rough few weeks, and well I just need to have a little vent just for people to know why I am the way I am at the moment.
As you already know, our niece passed away yesterday afternoon. She was very sick from birth, and only managed to spend just over a week at home since the time of her birth on xmas day '07. They believe she had a hypoxic (lack of oxygen) episode in the uterus possibly when she was getting into the breech position and caused all sorts of severe brain damage. Without going into the details, she wasn't able to survive without being ventilated for the rest of her life. She was palliated on Wednesday, and passed away yesterday. We saw her on Thursday and she was struggling to breathe. When we said our goodbyes yesterday she was so peaceful like a porceline doll.
2 weeks ago my mum pretty much had a nervous breakdown after a huge fight she had with my sister and boyfriend that were living with her and they pretty much moved out that night. Mum and I are generally quite close so for that to happen I was quite distraught myself when this all happened. I was also on night duty which made things 10 times worse.
Last Saturday, I get a phone call from my sister saying our cat (that lives with mum) was dead. I break down, get Jason to drive me there. Break down even more when I see her and see that she is still struggling to live. Jason and I take her to the vet hospital and just as they are about to put her down, she passes quietly. Once again I'm a mess.
I start to get over this and then we hear news of our nieces decline in health.
Today, my mum ON MSN, just after giving her condolences for our niece, decides to tell me she put my dog down (also living with my mum because she was a family dog) on WEDNESDAY.
WHY NOW?
WHY THE EFF ARE YOU TELLING ME NOW?
And why couldn't you tell me then?
She was apparently too distraught too. More like selfish.
HOW DARE SHE not involve me. She was sick, she should have called me.
How can life be so cruel? Why does this all have to happen at once?
I'm not strong enough to cope with all these blows, and my darling husband is just as weak right now cannot cope in holdling me up where he usually would.
Right now there is no light and I don't know when there will be.

What kinda crazy biatch puts her hand up for a double shift... meaning 18 hours, 1pm - 7.30am!!!
They were absolutely desparate to get someone to cover a sick leave for night duty tonight and weren't able to find any agency staff to cover. So here I am, armed with coffee, V, lollies, and other random goodies for sustanance.
So far kicking strong, but I have a feeling it may take its toll over the next couple of days. Ah well, I get paid more for tonights shift, than I would if I call in sick on Wednesday afternoon, plus I won't have the guilts coz we are well staffed for that evening.
On a brighter note...

Do dogs have 9 lives too?
Guess who's home? Yahuh, Sasha is back.
Almost 2 months later. She was one week off being put down at the Narre Warren pound. They have a volunteer there who tries and get in contact with other councils to check their missing dog register, takes the dog to the residence house for identification. They took her to mums old place, but of course, new owners, and well they weren't home either. Went to mum's old next door neighbours (who mum is quite close with) and they identified Sasha for us and gave them mums new details (even though mum did give Knox council the new details, eeediots).
So yah...
WHAT THE?
I had totally given up.

I've had a pretty terrible weekend. Started off with family issues (yes, regarding dad of course) and because of this, mum didn't tell me that Sasha escaped again on Wednesday til yesterday :/
She's missing again, and i'm even sadder than the first time. Going through all that we did the last time she escaped has brought me even closer to her. We both sat in the lounge room together recovering from both our ops at mums place last November. She's come a long way since then, and she seemed healthier than she had been in a while. But obviously moving house was a bit too much for her to handle and she dug a hole under the fence and escaped.
My fingers are crossed that we do get her back. She knows this area even less than Wantirna. And their are heaps of open paddocks and whatnot that she could be hiding in corners of too scared to go anywhere.
I've lost hope though, coz it's been even longer than the last time she was away. And this time, neighbours don't know us from a bar of soap.

What a fucken day!
First the money stealing thing... Then rushing my sister to hospital for a violent allergic reaction to the antibiotics she was started on. She looked like someone had rubbed a grater up and down her skin the rash was that bad, and no tablets were helping. She is ok now though, but in a lot of pain/tears.
So, in hospital for work all day, all night for my sister and back to work first thing in the morning... IN CHARGE!
go me!
The ward will fall apart.
I'm so exhausted emotionally and physically. Coming off night duty is like coming off the hardcore drugs.

It feels like i've been working non stop since Christmas. Somehow all my days off have vanished into thin air. I do recall stopping for a drinkfest on my birthday, followed with a dose of food poisoning... FUN! Way to start a week of birthday celebrations.
I've been so exhausted the past couple of weeks from work, that all I've been able to cope with is focusing on my myself in the little free time i've had. I finally had the chance on Friday to spend one on one time with mum as well as spend up on my birthday cashola. I bought some pretty clothes for past and upcomming events.
Had Amy's 25th birthday Friday night which was quite a shiteful night, well, venue rather. Village Green is not the place to go unless its your 21st in the function room *cough* and you are completely TRASHED :D
Went to a 21st on Saturday night. Felt a tad old and a bit out of place. It was more a family affair until our friends all finally rocked up later in the night. Jason was sick as a dog and had been all weekend, the poor bubba. I've never seen someone sleep so much that barely sleeps at all usually. I'd poke him occasionally to see if he was alive :P
Also worked in between all of this, I really have to consider going back to part time when we are able to cope with that financially. Full-time is really hard when you are a nurse in a busy environment. Working again this weekend, then back on nights. I don't understand why they keep putting me on nights so frequently knowing good and well I do not cope with its physically or emotionally.
I like wine, A LOT :D

Yes, its that time of year where yours truely turns another year older.
Everyone come join us at my house for a bbq/pool party/drink fest at 1pm on the 22nd January.
BYO what ever the fuck you want to fire up on the barbie as well as poison of choice.
Nibbles and soft drink provided.
Skinny dipping not permitted till after dark, so bring something for the meantime :P

The one year I'd love to get totally into the Christmas spirit and i'm bloody working. So I think i'll have to invest in a Santa hat or some reindeer ears so I look like a complete tool over the weekend.
Have been very anti-social over the past few weeks/months... mainly due to health reasons and lack of time.
Are any of you guys planning on joining the 24 hour chaddy mayhem on Friday night/Saturday morning? I have a party to go to in Chadstone that night so stumbling over to Chaddy should be quite amusing. I recall being drunk there a couple of years ago with Rachy, Max and the GUS MOBILE! toot toot!
What is everyone doing for the Christmas/New Year period anyway?
Btw, please keep the 22nd Jan free for a bbchew I think. I hate having to plan things so far in advance, but hey, sucks to be a nurse sometimes.
I'm doing night duty the first week into the New Year and then the week before my birthday... YAY! heh. But I hope to see you all very soon!

So is there like a point when your car has so many new parts/panels from accidents that it becomes a completely different car?
HEH!
Had a fun day driving round with a friend from Sydney. Decided to take her shopping down Brunswick St, only to have some parked fucker open up his car door whilst we were driving. *CRUNCH* All the panels on my passenger side are fubared, can't open the rear passenger side without making a horrid crunch and my wheels and tyres have the buggary scraped out of them.
That post accident feeling never gets any easier, even if it wasn't a truely horrid one.
Otherwise a good day. Almost finished my xmas shopping. Just mummy and nannas to go. We know what to get mummy we just can't find it anywhere. Anyone seen mauve/purple/violet dinner sets ANYWHERE? I have practically been all over Melbourne with no luck. We may have to abandon this idea soon.
I hope everyone is doing well, and love to those who aren't so good.
